Qatar has weathered the downturn better than many economies around the world. In the years prior to Qatar’s World Cup 2022 bid, the government had embarked on ambitious real estate, construction and infrastructure projects. Following the success of that bid, Qatar has introduced over $100 billion in new projects, many of which are already underway including residential, commercial, retail, and hospitality developments. Cityscape Qatar, backed by industry leaders, is an event that will support this continued real estate growth by providing a platform that will highlight high growth investment opportunities, showcase innovative products and underline sustainable developments. Qatar’s Lusail City Real Estate Development Co (LREDC) has said the 38 sq km Lusail City will see completion of the various packages of its Central Zone within two to three years, Gulf Times has reported. The Central Zone, also known as the heart of Lusail City, comprises the Commercial Waterfront District that forms the silhouette of Lusail City’s marina design, the Lusail Towers District and Plaza that together form the face of Lusail City as the financial centre, and the Commercial Boulevard.

The world’s leading real estate exhibition will make its debut in Qatar this month, showcasing the immense range and scope of property development opportunities and infrastructure projects to investors and key industry professionals from around the globe.

Taking place from 23rd to 25th May 2012 at the Doha Exhibition Centre, Cityscape Qatar will bring together regional and international investors, asset managers and financiers; architects, urban planners and designers; real estate developers, stadium designers and professional service providers; government and regulatory officials and senior executives involved in the design and construction of public and private real estate developments.

Aiming to diversify from a hydrocarbon-based economy, Qatar’s National Vision for 2030 and its successful bid to host the FIFA World Cup 2022, is set to transform the economic, cultural and physical landscape of the country. Plans are well underway for major infrastructural developments that will deliver vast investment and growth in transportation, residential and commercial real estate, and build new sporting and leisure facilities.

The AIPP is a not-for-profit organisation who’s aim is to improve standards of professionalism within the International property market. In a largely unregulated industry, AIPP Members voluntarily agree to follow a professional Code of Conduct.

Building confidence in international property

By promoting the highest standards of professionalism in the international property industry, the Association of International Property Professionals (AIPP) has been set up to provide the consumer with confidence, and the industry professionals with a united voice.

Thousands of people are buying overseas property: for holidays, for living or for investment. The AIPP provides a set of standards for those companies selling international property and is working to ensure that the public understands what it means when they see the AIPP Member logo on company literature.

AIPP Members have voluntarily signed up to follow the AIPP Code of Conduct, a code established to help consumers by showing where they will find professional, accountable companies; it is an illustration of each Member’s commitment to high standards in their work.
